2022 saw renowned British designer Tom Dixon commemorate 20 years of the global design empire he established in 2002.
To mark the milestone, the brand hosted TWENTY; an unprecedented exhibition at Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan during Salone del Mobile and later during the London Design Festival at their Coal Office hub in King’s Cross.
TWENTY took a deep dive into Tom Dixon’s quest for longevity in design and obsession with raw materiality, showcasing 20 extraordinary creations.
From giant mycelium sculptures and an eelgrass Bird chair to a Flamecut chair with a 1000-year warranty, TWENTY focussed on innovation and materiality. Some inspired by Tom Dixon’s most recognised collections such as Mirror Ball, Melt and Fat, some upgraded, and some in embryonic experiment-mode.
The exhibition provided a reflective, yet future-thinking overview of the brand's design pieces developed since its inception two decades ago.
Now for the first time, Designcraft brings Tom Dixon to Canberra!
