In line with Louis Poulsen's philosophy that the design must shape the light, Mads Odgård – the Danish designer behind Above – has drawn on his knowledge of outdoor lighting and natural ambience to create an indoor light that illuminates the space without dominating. He has studied how light interacts with the surroundings and makes them more beautiful.

Above has a triangular profile with a curved opening at the top, through which the black cord passes. It provides downward light and discreet upward lighting, resulting in a subdued and pleasant atmosphere. The appealing open top, to which the name refers, conceals the light source and gives the pendant a smart, functional appearance.

Finish: White matt or Black matt, wet painted.
