A multi-purpose stacking chair for conferencing, meeting, training, dining and as a visitor's chair.
The 40/4 chair designed in 1964 is acclaimed as the first truly stackable chair. Its name is an expression of this fact: 40 chairs can be stacked within 4 feet.
The seats and backs are triple curved. The front of the seat has a waterfall edge.
Accessories include transport dollies, row spacer bar, row numbering tag, seat numbering tag, writing tablet, transporter for writing tablets, book rack, hymn book holder, table surface protector, and linking systems.
- Stacks 40 high on a dolly (veneer & polymide); Upholstered & Armchair stacks 25 high on a dolly
- Rows of 2, 3, or 4 side chairs (veneer & polymide) with fin or eye/hook linking can be lifted and stacked without separation on double, triple or quadruple dollies
- Seats, backs & armrests available in three different materials - veneer, polyamide & metal
- Seats, backs & armrests can be upholstered - note reduced stackability when seat upholstered.
