While working on the Cosm Chair, designers Studio 7.5 suggested an entirely new approach to chair colour that makes both the seating and the entire workplace more familiar and welcoming.
The Cosm collection of chairs are completely ‘dipped’ in colour. This dipped-in-colour aesthetic helps to play down the complexity of the office chair and make it more approachable to users. It simplified the chair and dematerialised it, taking a ‘product’ and turning it into a sculptural element.
Colour is applied purposefully to the entire chair, all the way down to the castors, to accentuate the beauty of its form.
