Introducing A SENSE OF COLOUR by Fritz Hansen – a new palette of 16 compatible colours and 7 new bases for iconic chairs designed by Arne Jacobsen, Grand Prix™, Ant™ and Series 7™.
Created by Fritz Hansen in collaboration with visionary editor, design curator and gallerist Carla Sozzani. The Arne Jacobsen stacking chairs represents the core of the Fritz Hansen design DNA. They are probably the most recognized and most successful plywood chairs in market. Their design is emotional and unique, and they become even more elaborate when they are coloured.
Fritz Hansen call this discovery ‘A Sense of Colour.’
Fritz Hansen believe that nothing beats truly great design. Design that, beyond function and form, serves a bigger purpose by colouring our homes and everyday lives. Quite literally. Breathing new life into classic Fritz Hansen colour scales, the new palette presents a universe of strikingly beautiful tones.
‘We began the colour selection on this project by having workshops with Carla Sozzani at her studio where we, from a vast number of colours, curated a
unique palette. One of the primary goals were to create a collection united by a warm tone, a red thread so to speak. This was achieved by every
colour having a splash of red,’ explains Fritz Hansen’s Head of Design, Christian Andresen.
