Georgina Reid is a Sydney based landscape designer and writer who grew up on a farm in Orange in central New South Wales, Australia. From a young age, Reid would help out in the garden. Unable to remember a time when she wasn’t into plants, Reid began studying landscape design in 2004 and has worked as a designer and communicator ever since.
As founding editor of esteemed online magazine, The Planthunter, Reid explores the endlessly interesting connections between people and plants. Reid is a contributor to publications including The Design Files and Belle Magazine, facilitates regular plant and design based workshops, and speaks at writing and cultural events. With qualifications in horticulture, landscape design, journalism and winner of the 2016 Australian Institute of Horticulture Secretary’s Award for Excellence in Horticultural Literature, Reid has quickly established herself as an authority within the Australian horticulture and design fields.
