STOLAB

Stolab has been manufacturing solid wood furniture at the same location since 1907. This has given Stolab a wealth of valuable experience that characterizes all our activities. In the factory, pure craftsmanship is combined with modern manufacturing where professional pride, knowledge, and love for the solid wood are common denominators. The fact that design, production, and assembly all take place at the same location in Smålandsstenar not only allows Stolab to achieve the exacting requirements on quality and sustainability that characterize the brand.

Tolix

Xavier Pauchard was born in 1880 in Le Morvan, known as the green heart of France. Unsurprisingly wood was the most important construction material but despite that, he and his father and grandfather before him were zinc roofers. In 1907, Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc, or galvanising it. Ten years later, he set up a factory making steel household items and eventually registered his trademark symbol as Tolix, by which name the company is still known.

Aeron. The Best Support that you can find.

Aeron Range
Ergonomic to the core, Aeron was designed for a wide range of body types, thanks to the extensive research from designers Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick nearly 30 years ago. Its launch was pioneering in the office furniture industry – and it still is, thanks to updated research and material innovation, including the addition of ocean-bound plastic to the body of the chair. We've always known Aeron is good for our bodies – now it’s just as good for our environment too.  Indesign recently visited the Melbourne studio of the prominent Australian architectural firm Architectus to explore why the Aeron Chair fromHerman Miller is their preferred task chair. In this feature, Associate Interior Designer Alana Fahey reflects on her experience with the Aeron Chair and discusses her connection to the Herman Miller brand.

Herman Miller's products are pushed to the limit—and then some—in their Michigan Test Lab, where you’ll find weighted bags dropped into the seat of a chair, casters spun for days on end, and machines that wouldn’t feel out of place in a repair shop. Herman Miller test their products beyond what the industry expects—or requires—because they want them to stand the test of time. WHY? It’s all about the warranty. Many of the products tested feature a 12-year warranty: 12 years, yes, but also for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
